When I was a pre-teen, I spent much of my time on Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and various social media sites. This digital panopticon is a fertile environment for inducing a state of paranoid unreality in those who, like me, dabble in various neuroses. Thus, I have disengaged from traditional social media over the years to the benefit of my psyche. This page offers glimpses into aspects of my life that I am willing to share with a general audience, with those dear to me in mind. Enjoy the ride

According to a woman from Crete, Angie, the metro in Athens was built only 15 years ago and many historic artifacts were found when they were excavating the land to construct its tunnels. Bones' has travelled but would not consider themself a well-travelled creature. They hold this belief due to their self-proclaimed failure to adequately describe cities and their over reliance on poor comparisons. Bones' description of Athens thus far is as follows:

The climate of Athens is one of warm humidity similar to Mexico City except
the low elevation does not permit any heat to escape during the night. The
city's design has classic European elements like roundabouts, satisfying grids,
and tall mixed-use buildings. The feel of Athens is comparable to Bruges, Belgium
and Madrid, Spain. There are few waterways passing through the city and parks are
infrequent but speckled with marble statues and historical artifacts. The town is
quiet this time of year due to a holiday relating to Jesus' mother, Mary, and locals
escaping the heat during the break between touist seasons and before schools go back
in session. The locals so far have that southern European warmth to their gestures and
have been highly accomodating to an English-speaking traveller.

Bones' bones for the first time touched the "soil", they did not touch actual soil, of Canada. They proceeded to absorb the nutritients of a salted pretzel, which had the texture of a croissant, before three hours of cacophonous French crowd chatter.

The moon's luminous rays denied any attempts to sleep. The twilight hours rouse Bones' to a poetic state of delirium and so they crawled across the cold tiles and hummed a tune as their eyes deciphered the whispers of the tree of heaven as it flittered across the moon's stage.

moon drowned night sounds
always near no here
you’re found tight bound
no more fear baby dead deer
mute shouts the fight hound
killed by his heavenly leer

Bones' received correspondence from two of the family members they wrote to this past month. The threads of connection with these kinfolk have been strengthened by such correspondence. [Memo: Write letters more consistenly.] The unfortunate news of Grandma Bones' broken elbow bone and knee bone due to a fall was received, meaning that Grandma Bones' will no longer accompany Bones' on their upcoming voyage. Life brings rain which is sometimes good, at times meaningless, and sometimes bad. With idle hands Bones' goes mad.

  • Bones' attached more sticks to the wall. They want to be a lizard.
  • Colors are lasting long in their eyes. Bones' wants to lick them.
  • At 3:09 AM their skin tingles while the cat, Meal, plays Life n Death with a housefly. Bones' wants to hold death.

[Listening to: XO by Elliott Smith]

Tolstoy describes Natasha as "on the brink of rapture or despair" on page 556 of Crime and Punishment this, too, is the instinctual vascillation of Bones' interiority. They have cultivated the skill of appearing constant(-ish) to promise the external world of their reliability but through their eyes is an ocean of intensity. The safest place for their soul to rest is in a lighthouse kept by another, someone they deem to be immune to this oscillatory state, but T.P. can no longer host them. "Can the ocean itself offer comfort?", Bones' asks themself as they rattle through the gusts of oceanic wind.

They soared high into the air riding on an atmospheric current they would typically avoid. As they rose the air cooled and thinned like the worn cloak worn by Death and in this tunnel of mortality their endless suffering gave way to infinite joy. Bones' gazed down upon the earth through a telescope made of ice crystals and on a hill below an oasis of junipers sipped on the sweet water of a brook. They could hear the chamber music of towhees, flickers, and nuthatches composed by the shadows that danced across the ceiling.
